The Ladies have been playing in Ilkley and the men down in West Worthing. The Ladies had a good time in Ilkley but came up against some strong opposition, they won today beating Hereford and Worcester 7-2. Unfortunately they will be relegated along with 3 other teams.
The Men though we are delighted to report have gained promotion, third year in a row so they are now up in Div 4. A great result and a brilliant team effort with some crucial matches being played in the third rubbers resulting in a couple of 5-4 wins. They beat Dorset, Durham and Cleveland, Bucks and Hereford and Worcester.
Thanks to all of our team players but a special big thanks to Jon and Emma who have taken on the responsibility of finding the team players, engaging with them and doing all the arrangements prior to the week and during the week and making sure you kept Mark Edwards of the Oxford Mail informed to do his daily reports. Many thanks guys and have a rest this weekend.
Also to say the County week held at NOLTC was deemed to be a great week by the Teams and the LTA so thanks to the NOLTC Committee and also Emma for making all the arrangements and ensuring it ran smoothly. Somerset won the Division.
