After a successful weekend at the Lionel Cox event where the 10U, 11U & 12U teams came 5th overall the team captains had the following comments.
“I would like to say thank you to all the players and their parents for the support and effort over the weekend. For Oxfordshire to come 5th place overall in their first year and to have the boys 11U team in the final is a great achievement. It was a pleasure to captain the boys and they gave a great account of themselves and for Oxfordshire tennis both on and off the court. Over the weekend there were some great individual performances but more importantly the team cohesion and professional attitudes were pleasing to witness. Thank you to Bobby Gosling and Josh Dawson who helped throughout the weekend.

“I really enjoyed my weekend as Captain of the girls Oxon teams – they all put in an amazing amount effort and coped with the rain delays really well!!. All of the Oxon players supported each other well when not playing in their own matches, this definitely helped with some tight match tie breaks!! Well Done to Oxfordshire!!” Julie Bradbury
