Tennis Scotland is excited to support clubs taking part in this year’s Great British Tennis Weekend (GBTW).
The GBTW initiative is a nationwide ‘open day’ campaign aimed at encouraging more people to play tennis by offering free opportunities to play.
All Tennis venues have the opportunity to be involved by opening their doors and providing activities for people of any age, ability or background to come and take part. In 2016, 129 GBTW events took place throughout Scotland, encouraging thousands of people to play tennis. This year we are looking to make this this biggest yet. Events can be as small or as large as you would like them to be.
The GBTW are held on the following dates:
(Any other weekend that suits your venue).
What To Do Next
If you are interested in signing your club up for the GBTW, register your venue as well what sessions your venue will be delivering on the LTA Club Spark Page.
Once you have set up your event and sessions, these will be available on the Great British Tennis Weekend webpage.
All venues that sign up will receive a resource pack to help you plan, promote and run your event which will include t-shirts, balloons, signage, promotional materials and an organiser’s guide. There are also other templates and posters which can be created on the MyTennisToolKit.
For further information and how to register your venue, please visit the Great British Tennis Weekend webpage.
