Wednesday 3rd July - Matchday Review

O'Mara/Bambridge V Klassen/Venus

An unfortunate first round defeat for Jonny O'Mara and Luke Bambridge at Wimbledon. The pair were beaten in straight sets by Raven Klassen and Michael Venus, the third seeds for the competition, 7-5, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. It looked likely that Scotland's O'Mara, and fellow Brit Bambridge, could take the second set, but it wasn't to be.

(Klassen/Venus V O'Mara/Bambridge, Men's Doubles, First Round)

Norrie/Munar V Inglot/Krajicek
A thrilling match for Cameron Norrie and Jaume Munar in the first round of the Men's Doubles at Wimbledon. A challenging first set put Norrie and Munar on the back foot, however, the powerful team work in the second and third set pulled it back into perspective for them both.

Their opponents went all out in the fourth set and managed to edge it 7-6. Taking full advantage of the fatigue of Inglot and Krajicek, Norrie and Munar put the pressure on to finish the final set 6-3, securing their place in the next round of the Men's Doubles.

Tuesday 2nd July - In Review

Straight sets for Cameron Norrie : 6-2, 6-4, 6-4 as the British Number two claims his place in round two of Wimbledon.

A spectacular match to watch with the forehand of Cameron Norrie was too much for Denis Istomin in the end, despite it looking likely he could pull it back. Istomin slowly edged the second set however the determination of Norrie ensure that excellent start would continue.
