Tennis Scotland and local private hospital The Edinburgh Clinic are teaming up to deliver a fun-filled day of tennis and other activities aimed at encouraging more people of all ages and abilities to pick up a tennis racquet on the back of a historic 12 months for tennis in Scotland.


What:           A FREE day of tennis and other fun activities for all of the family

The Edinburgh Clinic Festival of Tennis is taking place on Sunday 1st September 2013 at the Meadows Tennis Courts in central Edinburgh. Tennis fans inspired by Andy Murray's performances at the US Open in New York are encouraged to attend with free equipment and coaching provided and a range of different sessions running throughout the day.

Supported by Edinburgh Leisure, the festival will give families the chance to try out a range of the latest tennis products including scaled down versions of the game, Mini Tennis for children and Touch Tennis for adults, Cardio Tennis, a new fitness inspired tennis workout on court suitable for players of all abilities, as well as competitive tennis in the form of Teenage Doubles and Adult and Child Doubles. There will be coaching clinics for both adult beginners and intermediates looking to make improvements to their game and other fun activities including face painting, fastest serve, racquet testing and of course strawberries and cream!
