Runner-Up for Jamie Murray in Qatar
In their first tournament of 2018, Jamie Murray with partner Bruno Soares reached the final of the Men’s doubles at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open. The pair survived a scare in the first round requiring a 3rd set match tiebreak to beat M.Matkowski (POL) and A.Qureshi (KSA) 3-6, 7-6, 10-5. They then beat B.Coric (CRO) and J.Struff (GER) 6-3, 6-4 and 3rd seeds F.Lopez (ESP) and R.Ram (USA) 6-3, 4-6, 10-6 to reach the final. The top seeds were then beaten by the 2nd seeds O.Marach (AUS) and M.Vavic (CRO) 2-6, 6-7.
The pair will now be looking towards the Australian Open, which is just a week away.

Cameron Norrie reaches QF’s
Cameron Norrie reached the QF of both the Singles and Doubles of the Internationaux BNP Paribas Challenger in New Caledonia.
3rd seed Norrie won his first two matches in the singles over 3 sets - 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 and 5-7, 6-2, 6-0. He then lost out however at the QF stage to 7th seed Kenny De Schepper 6-4, 6-4.
Norrie paired up with Rubin Statham for the doubles. The pair got through their first round match in a 3rd set match tie-break, however lost out in their next match to the top seeds and eventual winners H.Nys (FRA) and T.Puetz (GER) in the closest of matches 6-7, 7-6, 9-11.
