Edinburgh Schools, Merchiston Castle School and George Watson's College have won the boys' and girls' Scottish Secondary Schools Tennis Team Champions respectively for the 2nd year in a row.
The finals, which took place at St George's Schools for Girls in Edinburgh yesterday, saw 8 teams from Schools across the country come together for a great day of semi-final and final action.
After defeating a strong Beaconhurst team in the semi-final, Merchiston Castle School faced The High School of Glasgow in the final after The High School of Glasgow got the better of Robert Gordons College in the other semi-final. The High School put in a tough fight in the finals for the 2nd year running but Merchiston proved too strong and went home with the trophy for the 6th year running.
Meanwhile in the girls' draw, The High School of Glasgow yet again made an appearance in the finals but George Watson's came away triumphant for the 2nd year running. The semi-finals proved to be an exciting affair with Wallace High School and George Watson's College having a tough face off and on the other side of the draw, The Edinburgh Academy and The High School of Glasgow finished in a tiebreak match to name the semi-final winner.
Well done to all teams who participated throughout the tournament and congratulations to our winners.
