15 teams in age groups from 50 to 85 will travel to the USA in October to represent Great Britain in the 2017 Seniors & Super Seniors ITF World Team Championship.
The Seniors events for 50, 55 and 60 age groups will take place from October 29 – November 3 in Miami Beach, Florida. This year sees the return of former world number 54 Jeremy Bates to the GB team in the Men’s 55 age group. Last year the Men’s 60 Team brought back a Bronze medal from Helsinki. All teams are looking forward to the challenge of playing on clay in the Miami heat this autumn.
The Super Seniors events for 65, 70, 75, 80 and 85 age groups take place from October 8-13 on clay courts at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Orlando. In last year’s event in Croatia the GB Super Seniors teams brought back one Gold (Women’s 70), two Silver (Men’s 75 & Women’s 80) and one bronze medal (Women’s 75).
