The recent appointment of the German born and multilingual Pia Mackenzie as Tennis Scotland’s Marketing and Communications Director has paid early dividends with some of this year’s Tennis Scotland award winners receiving an unexpected bonus in the shape of being VIP guests at the inaugural WTA Mallorca Open in June.

Tennis Scotland has today announced the players to represent Scotland at the forthcoming Four Nations’ Group ‘B’ Championships in Wrexham, Wales. Scotland defends both the Men’s and Women’s 65 & Over age group titles but the strong team selected will hope to win the overall championship from current holders England.

More than 70 coaches from across Scotland gathered in Glasgow and Edinburgh this week for the first Davis Cup Legacy coach training sessions. The training, which was delivered by the LTA, with Annabel Croft and Greg Rusedski among the coach mentors is the first step towards these coaches delivering a 6 week programme at their local club aimed at welcoming 1000 kids to the sport of tennis for the first time.

Entries close on Monday for the final event of Tennis Scotland's series of Indoor Championships – the 12 & Under and 16 & Under Championships - which will be played on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th March at the Scotstoun Leisure Centre, Glasgow.

Top seeds prevailed at this weekend's Scottish Junior Indoor Championships held at the Scotstoun Leisure Centre, Glasgow. The championships, the final event in the winter season calendar, is a Grade 3 tournament for 16 & Under and 12 & Under players.

Congratulations to Glasgow's Aidan McHugh who has enjoyed an excellent week in Doha at the 1st Qatar ITF Junior Open 2016.

The Davis Cup by BNP Paribas officially arrives in Scotland this weekend to mark the start of a national Trophy Tour of Great Britain launched by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), in association with Tennis Scotland.
