Davis Cup Returns to Glasgow

Monday, May 07, 2018

Davis Cup tennis returns to Glasgow’s Emirates Arena this autumn when Great Britain face Uzbekistan in the play-off to remain in the World Group in 2019.

The tie will take place between the 14th and 16th September with the losers dropping into the Europe/Africa group with GB hopeful that Andy Murray and Kyle Edmund, who missed the February loss to Spain through injury, will be available.

Uzbekistan’s only players ranked inside the top 300 in the world is Denis Istomin who is currently ranked 91.

The last time Great Britain appeared in Glasgow was a 3-2 semi-final defeat by Argentina in September 2016.
