Tennis Scotland - Regional Coach Development Programe | Phase Two

Monday, May 15, 2017

As part of the partnership between Tennis on the Road and Tennis Scotland, the following workshops have been scheduled across Scotland as part of the Regional Coach Development programme:

Running high quality holiday camps – learning through playing.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the workshop coaches will have:
• A better understanding of how to structure a holiday camp
• A large bank of practical games and exercises for all ages and stages of tennis players
• Ideas on activities to do off court during camps

Overview

This practical based workshop, led by Kris Soutar, will provide participants with many ideas on how to structure and deliver your holiday camps to maximise the fun, skill development and attract and/or retain summer camps players for club programmes. By the end of this workshop you will see how a single day can be planned and delivered, leaving you with ideas on how this day can be tweaked easily to make up your week(s).

The workshop is 3 hours in duration and Accredited+ coaches will be able to claim 3 CPD credits for full attendance. All workshops cost £30. This is a practical workshop so please come in tennis attire; bring your racquet and pen and paper.

Although this workshop is aimed at Level 2 coaches and above, Level 1 coaches with experience and a specific desire to develop in this area will also be able to attend – they will need to call Tennis Scotland on 0131 444 1984 to be manually enrolled.
