Kinnoull and St. Serf’s, Edinburgh are the front runners in the men’s premier league after the first few weeks of this year’s competition. Both teams remain undefeated with the Perth club upsetting current holders Stirling University 5-1 at home and then beating Strathgryffe in a deciding tie-break shoot out. The teams are scheduled to meet on a match which could decide this year’s championship.
Reigning women’s champions, Blackhall, started their campaign on a winning note beating Glasgow Western 6-0 at home. The Edinburgh side this weekend host St Andrew’s University who are also unbeaten in the top women’s division.
237 players from 44 club teams have participated in the first three weeks of this season’s competition which concludes at the end of October.
