"After the success of the Bells Junior Tennis Tournament in Perth which I was instrumental in setting up in the 1970's I decided to sponsor Annual Tennis Awards to two young people, one girl and one boy under the age of fifteen who Tennis Scotland believe have the potential to become future tennis stars. Since the Awards were set up almost 20 years ago. I have been very happy to see the interest in the Awards and the encouragement that they have given to the recipients."
