Jamie Murray through to Mixed Doubles Semi-Finals at the US Open

Jamie Murray and partner Martina Hingis are through to the Semi-Finals of the Mixed Doubles at the US Open. The pair, who are the top seeds got through a tricky tie in the Quarter-finals against Juan Sebastian Canal (COL) and Abigail Spears (USA) 6-3, 2-6, 10-8. The pair will now play Horia Tecau (ROM) and Coco Vandeweghe (USA) for a place in the final. It should be noted Coco Vandeweghe is also still currently in the Women’s Singles draw and will play top seed Karolina Pliskova in the Quarter-final later on today.

Elsewhere, it wasn’t to be for Jamie Murray in the Men’s Doubles with partner Bruno Soares as they were beaten comfortable by Jean-Julien Rojer (NED) and Horia Tecau (ROM) 1-6 2-6 in the Quarter-finals.

After losing out in the Boy’s Singles, Aidan McHugh and his partner Francesco Forti (ITA) reached the 2nd Round of the Boy’s Doubles. The pair fell just short of reaching the Quarter-finals after losing out to the 6th seeds in a very close 3rd set tie break, 2-6 6-3 8-10.

Ali Collins and her partner Jule Niemeier (GER) also reached the 2nd Round of the Girls’ Doubles draw however lost out to the 7th seeds from Russia 1-6 4-6.
