Introduction

Inspire2coach are looking for a driven Tennis Coach who can deliver high quality lessons across our network of tennis clubs and facilities in Shropshire. We are a leading tennis provider that specialises in coach education and club programmes. The company runs 14 tennis facilities across the Midlands including two Performance Centres at The Shrewsbury Club and the University of Warwick.

Job Role

The role will commence in May 2016 or as early as the successful applicant is available. You will report to the Hub Manager for inspire2coach Shropshire and will work closely with the inspire2coach management team. The role will be on court approximately 20 hours starting point with the opportunity to grow this and develop a full-time role very quickly. Although we are looking for a full-time coach we would be interested to discuss part-time options as the business is expanding so rapidly.

Support and Career Development

The successful candidate will receive support, mentoring and continuous professional development. Due to the nature of our business this role would suit either an experienced tennis coach or an ambitious individual starting their career in tennis that wants to develop their skills and coaching experience with our help. The Hub Manager will organise your work and schedule, promote what you do and help you grow your business.

Job Specification

  • The self-employed financial package will be based on a % share of income. This model is used in all of our clubs and has proven to develop strong year round income
  • A support period of 3 months where we pay an agreed hourly rate for a minimum of 20 hours per week to help the transition period and growth of your business
  • Wilson equipment package
  • Team training for licence points
  • Monthly court rental to start after initial introduction period

Minimum Criteria

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification with a commitment to attend Level 3 course
  • Good standard playing ability
  • Current LTA license
  • Fun and engaging personality
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Proven ability to lead and work well within a team
  • Great customer service and relationship building
