A very pleasing entry of around 100 youngsters has been received for the National Fostering Agency Easter Hardcourt Tournament, being staged all this week on the Henley Road courts of the Ipswich Sports Club.

Players of all age groups have been enjoying competitive tennis over the Easter period, with the Suffolk Open Veterans Tournament , National Fostering Agency Easter Hardcourt Tournament and Thorpeness Junior Tournament all taking place.

 

 

This Saturday sees the last of the age-groups competing in the 12 Counties Championship at Corby.

Suffolk junior tennis teams have done themselves proud in Division 2B of the 12 Counties Championship at Corby, with our 16U Boys' quartet of Paul Midgley, Ryan Lambert, Darren Kappala-Ramsamy and Josh Towers finishing our participation on a high note with an unbeaten performance last weekend.

 The South East of England and East Anglia are now in drought, and therefore a hosepipe ban will come into force in these areas on 5 April 2012 for an indefinite period.

The 17th Open Suffolk Veterans’ Tennis Tournament was staged over the Easter holidays at the Ipswich Sports Club Centre on Henley Road.

Beach Tennis UK is pleased to announce the British Open Beach Tennis Tournament will be held in Brighton on Sunday 6 May 2012, at Yellowave in Madeira Drive.

The Suffolk Lawn Tennis Association held its Awards Evening last Sunday evening at the Kesgrave Community Centre, recognising a wide range of outstanding tennis achievements in the county over the last two years.
