More than 90 teams from 23 schools across North Wales took part in the region’s 2013 secondary schools tennis championship.
The finals, held at Wrexham Tennis Centre, saw wins for schools from Wrexham, Flintshire and Conwy, with runners-up from Powys and Gwynedd.

Winners – St Josephs, Wrexham;
Runners up – Welshpool, Powys;
Year 8 Girls:
Winners – St Josephs, Wrexham;
Runners up – Ysgol Brynrefail, Gwynedd;
Year 10 Boys:
Winners – Alun School, Flintshire
Runners up – Welshpool, Powys
Year 10 Girls:
Winners – Rydal Renrhos, Conwy;
Runners up – Welshpool, Powys.
“Our schools competitions in Wales are the envy of the rest of Britain,” said Tennis Wales chief executive, Peter Drew. “It’s great to see so many schools taking part and giving students experience of competition.”
The winning teams now go into the Aegon Team Tennis Schools knockout stage against other winning teams from all over Britain.
