In partnership with then Tennis Foundation we have a fantastic opportunity for four junior Wheelchair Tennis players to represent Wales at the 2015 Sainsbury’s Schools Games in Manchester 3rd to 6th September
The Sainsbury’s 2015 School Games are:
• A multi-sport event for the UK’s most talented young athletes
• The 2014 event (also in Manchester) saw 1,600 competitors across 12 Olympic and Paralympic sports with over 450 volunteers and 25,000 spectators
• The Games feature an Opening and Closing Ceremony as well as anti-doping and wider education programmes
• All competitors stay within an Athletes Village to replicate the feel of an Olympic or Paralympic Games
• Past alumni of the Games include: Paralympic gold medallists Ellie Simmonds, Hannah Cockroft and Jonnie Peacock along with GB sprinter Adam Gemili, heptathlete Katrina Johnson-Thompson, and Olympic bronze medallist gymnasts, Max Whitlock and Sam Oldham.

We’re on the lookout for 4 players to access some training and preliminary competitive opportunities and the opportunity to be selected.
Criteria:
11 to 19 year olds – All players shall be under 19 years of age on 1st January of the year of the competition. In 2015, only players born in 1996 or after would be eligible.
2 girls & 2 boys Mixed - Full yellow ball event.
