Believe it or not, it is that time of year again when we start looking for nominations for the Tennis Wales Awards as well as the AGEON British Tennis Awards (ABTA).
The nomination process is now open for the below categories:
AEGON British Tennis Awards
- Volunteer of the Year
- Inspire2coach Young Volunteer of the Year Award
- Coach Award
- Club Award
- Community Venue Award
- Disability Award
- Education Award.

By nominating for one of these 7 categories, your nomination will automatically be put forward for the Tennis Wales Awards.

As last year, Tennis Wales will also be recognising the achievements made in these 3 categories:
- Team of the Year
- Club Team of the Year
- Player of the Year
To nominate for one of these 3 categories, you will have to complete the attached nomination form and send direct to maria.rees@tenniswales.org.uk Please note that these 3 categories are not part of the ABTA.
The closing date for nominations is 30th November at 12noon. Following this date, the Tennis Wales panel will shortlist the nominations received, invites will be circulated and the winners will be announced at the award ceremony being held in Swansea on January 28th.
The winners of the Tennis Wales Awards (7 ABTA categories only) will automatically be put forward for nomination for an ABTA. A further independent panel would then meet to decide on an overall UK wide winner for each category, the winner of these would be then be invited to the ceremony being held at Wimbledon in July.
You may notice that the ABTA also has a category for ‘Outstanding Achievement’. Please note that Tennis Wales are not accepting nominations for ‘Outstanding Achievement’ as the winner for this category will be selected from the 10 category winners.
