The Welsh number one, Evan Hoyt, has won his first pro tour singles title of 2018 by taking the title at the $25,000 Men's Futures in Brisbane, Australia. The two month trip down under is proving to be a very successful one for Evan who has reached one final and one quarter final in addition to his win last week. Evan will now move inside the world's top 500 players for the first time and also into the GB top ten.
Reflecting on his victory Evan said, "It has been a great week for me and I'm so happy with the level of tennis I've been able to put out on the court. I'm now looking forward to trying to build on this."
Evan will finish his run of tournaments in Australia with another Futures event this week and then two Challenger events prior to returning home.
