All the hard work is starting to pay off, and his aim is to get into the top 250 by the end of the year, and then the top 100!
Dan’s most recent tournament was the $40,000 AEGON Challenger Tour event in Jersey where he received a wild card. He had fantastic week recording a three-sets victory over Alex Bogdanovic, the British No.3, in the last four and then easing past Czech Republic’s Jan Minar 6-3 6-2 in Sunday’s final.
Dan now has four senior titles to his name; this was his first at the Challenger level.
“This is the best tennis I have ever played and all of this is down to the work I have put in with my coach at the NTC,” said Evans. "I have played mostly in Futures and to receive a wild card and get through to the finals was one thing but to win it goes beyond my wildest dreams.”
