Tennis Players from all different clubs are coming together at Blossomfield tennis club to ace their way to raising as much money as possible at a sponsored doubles challenge held in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care at (Blossomfield club on 27th September at 2pm .
All tennis players are welcome to join players will take part in the match, held on The 27th September , to help provide nursing care at home for terminally ill people at the end of their lives.
On the day, the club will also help raise funds by selling cream teas and coffee.
The teams will be participating in Marie Curie Cancer Care’s ‘Anyone for Tennis’. The tournament calls on tennis fans of any age or ability to play their favourite game to help terminally ill people spend their final days surrounded by the people they love the most.
Claire Williamson Head Coach , who will also take part in the match, said: “We will have a fantastic time on the day, the emphasise will be as always at our club to take part and have fun and we are delighted to be able to raise funds , which will help Marie Curie Nurses care for terminally ill people in their own homes at the end of their lives.”
It’s not too late to take part in ‘Anyone for Tennis’ – you can still register and play a doubles match for the charity until the end of September 2009.
