Henley Tennis Club has continued its success in training a further group of tennis leaders. The course is designed to give young tennis leaders a taste of the skills required to lead a group of children under supervision. In total the group have completed well over 100hrs volunteering in the community and in particular Farrell Treacy exceeding 50hrs all by himself. The leaders came together on Sat 3rd October to receive their certificates from Club Coaches Neil Supperstone and Sarah Baker.
Neil Supperstone who ran the course said “the leaders have shown a great commitment to the course and have now got an excellent chance to progress on to further qualifications as previously achieved by other candidates.”
If you are interested in your child taking the first step in leadership training then you are in luck. During October Half Term a Young Leaders Award this time for 10 – 13 year olds is being held by a National Sports Leaders UK employee at Warwickshire College. The course will be held on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th October from 9am – 3pm and places are limited.
