The Inter Club Satellite Challenge continued on the Tuesday of the Women’s AEGON Classic International Event with green players representing satellite clubs across the county. Following the orange event, which was won by Sutton Coldfield, the green players were looking not only to win for their club on the day but to help lift the title for their club.
The clubs competing included, Solihull Arden, Kenilworth, Leamington, Sutton Coldfield, Streetly, Shipston, Blossomfield and Rugby.
Leamington having had a great day in the Orange event coming 2nd where unable to carry on the success leaving the field wide open for the previous days 4th placed Solihull Arden and 3rd placed Rugby. Sutton with Max Stewart, Ben Mitchell, Eliie Griffiths and Laura Richardson won through to win on the day and to take the title. Solihull and Rugby came 2nd and 3rd on the day this involving a count back to establish 2nd place. The eventual runners-up where Solihull Arden.
