The first stage to achieving this was the delivery of two Mini Red Progression courses to over 40 of our club coaches.
If all our coaches are up to date with their understanding of technique and tactics this should be seen in the players coming out of club programmes. If mini red sessions across all clubs are fun and include competition, club programmes will grow, clubs will thrive, standards will rise and the county will have a far larger base of players to pick from.
Progressive tennis gives tremendous advantage for developing the technical foundations and tactical awareness necessary for improving skills, knowledge and understanding of the game. As the child grows so does the game.
Attention to detail is vital if we want to produce champions, we must keep the game simple but also professional.
All clubs and coaches have a part to play in the ‘Player Journey’. The road to success is a unique journey for every player, with clubs and coaches providing the pathway through regular competition and quality coaching to fine tune players’ abilities.
