Head Coach VP Tennis, Leamington Spa
Victoria Park is situated in the heart of Leamington Spa. Facilities include 10 hard courts, 5 floodlit (from April 2010). The condition and accessibility of the courts is fantastic and a proven successful environment for coaching and competition. There is a clubhouse pavilion with changing facilities and toilets. Victoria Park is a potential Beacon site for the Tennis Foundation and has almost completed the criteria needed.
The successful candidate will need to be able to manage a programme at the park which fulfils Clubmark and LTA Beacon Status. This will include providing sustainable and affordable activity for all ages and abilities. Each week the facility must provide free access to court usage and regular free organised sessions should be offered to assist in recruitment of players to courses. The successful candidate will have the ability to recruit and manage a team of volunteers to assist in the running of activities, the roles to include activators, tennis leaders and competition organisers.
The programme will have a variety of sessions and group sizes to include coaching, competition and social play.
- ·Mini Tennis and Junior and coaching programme aiming to build the programme to fit with Clubmark
programme criteria for a medium place to play. Groups to be varying sizes to ensure that entry level
activities are affordable with large groups and providing opportunities for players to attend smaller
groups where appropriate
- Adult sessions to include Cardio Tennis, Tennis xpress and opportunities for all abilities
- Women only sessions
- Fit for fifties, or those players available during the daytime
- Working lunch - Leamington workers can take time out in their lunch break for a 45 minutes cardio session
- Weekly tournament schedule for juniors and adults.

- Offer opportunities for volunteers and young leaders.
- Squad and Individual group sessions
- Build strong links with surrounding Tennis Clubs
- Link into local Satellite Performance programmes
Key Responsibilities:
To oversee the smooth delivery of the Coaching programme and management of the coaching team. Ensure delivery to ALL VP sites and schools through the coaching team and liaising with VP directors.
You must be LTA qualified Level 3 Coach and have a current LTA licence.
You will need a proven track record in all aspects of coaching and be expected to produce your license, CRB and first aid certificates at interview.
