The 2011 WALTA Awards took place on Friday 27th January 2012 at The Botanical Gardens in Birmingham. It was a fabulous night which offered the usual great food, a great awards ceremony and top class entertainment to finish off the night in style. Over 170 guests attended the event from all over the Warwickshire County such is the high popularity of the event. However for those who were unable to attend the event here is a list of who won what award:
Junior Player of the Year: Luke Hammond.
Senior Player of the Year: Andrew Fitzpatrick
Veteran Player of the Year: Jenny Waggott
Performance Coach of the Year: Chris Johnson
James Cooper Development Coach Award: John Hales
Referee of the Year: Kathryn Heathcote & Malcolm Sidwell
Volunteer of the Year: Mick Doran & Mickey Fallows.
Young Leader of the Year: Mel Brookes.
Team of the Year: Edgbaston Priory Super Senior Mixed.
Club of the Year: Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club.
