The Warwickshire AEGON Under 12 girls county cup team consisted of:

Elizabeth Massie
Charlie Richardson
All three girls performed well throughout the weekend at Nottingham Tennis Centre. Warwickshire’s opponents for the tournament were 3 other midlands counties; Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
On the first day the girls stormed to a 3-0 lead after 3 singles against Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire resulting in two wins and therefore reaching the last round of the qualifying against Leicestershire. The winner between these two counties would win a place at the main draw finals in Bolton. Both teams matched up very evenly and so it was going to be a tough match. Charlie gave Warwickshire a 1-0 lead after winning her singles, Elizabeth lost a very tight match and summer eventually lost another very close encounter, meaning we were 2-1 down going into the doubles.
Unfortunately Warwickshire lost another close 3 set doubles which made leicestershire the winners of the weekend, however, the team fought really hard and at least made it a close fight to the finish!
