Henley-in-Arden Tennis and Bowls Clubs ran a joint Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Care. This was part of the Charity’s national initiative – The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning - which took place on Friday 28th September.
Thanks to a great selection of cakes donated by Members and others, the event, organised and run by Club Member Kim Cutler, raised £511 for the charity. Over 50 people attended the event – playing tennis, playing bowls or just sitting and chatting.
This was the first such event organised jointly by the Bowls and Tennis Clubs and promises to be the forerunner of many more in future.
