Christmas Social event:
The Santa suits were out in force for Rugby LTC's Christmas Social event (picture below). All the eight players had 2 hours of fun competitive tennis which saw them mixing with every player. Group 1 saw David Higham topping the group with Andrew Grant sharing 2nd place with Alan from Coventry. Denyse Tuck and Robert Jack shared the spoils to top Group 2.
American Christmas Mixed Doubles:
Exact numbers of 8 men and 8 ladies were ideal for some really enjoyable Christmas tennis. Players initially took part in Mens and Ladies doubles in order to sort the players into two groups. They then drew for partners and played 4 games with each partner and 4 games against.
Liam Victoros ran away with Group 1 from Graeme Baker and Roger Allen back in joint 2nd place. Meanwhile, Claire Hinds saw off the challenge of Charlotte Brayson to be the top lady.
John Victoros made it a family double as he topped Group 2 from Sam Barnes. Michelle Stuchbury claimed the ladies top spot after winning a play-off with Lesley Hole.
