EALTS will be running 4 camps for different standards on the following weeks, the courses are open to club and non-club members on:
July 22-July 26, July 29-August 1 (note only 4 days ), August 5-9, August 19-23
1.Intermediate/Advanced players
Time 9.30 am prompt until 12.45pm.
This session is only for players who are capable of playing matches on a full sized tennis court.
Content: Advanced technique & rallying-Serve, f/h, b/h, volley, smash, lob, drop shot. Fitness-balance/movement, coordination, speed, strength -jumping, running, Advanced tactics for singles & doubles, Mental-Concentration, Focus, Determination, Visualisation Advanced Matchplay-singles/doubles on full court. Nutrition-healthy food & drink for tennis players
Camp fee £40.00 per week except for July 29- Aug 1 when £32.00. If you are attending for only part of a week cost £9 per day.
2.Beginner players
Time 2.15 prompt -3.45pm .I would welcome assistance from parents on this session.
Content: Basic Technique & rallying -Serve, f/h, b/h, volley, smash, lob, drop shot. Fitness-balance/movement, coordination, speed, strength -jumping, running, Basic tactics for singles & doubles, Mental-Concentration, Focus, Determination, Basic Matchplay-rules of game, singles/doubles initially on part court. Nutrition-healthy food & drink for tennis players
Camp fee £22.50 per week except for July 29-Aug 1 when £18.00.If you are only attending for part of a week cost £5 per day.
Camp Information:
Players should attend whatever the weather conditions unless told otherwise.
It's important to arrive on time so that a prompt start for everyone can be made.
Players must wear smooth soled trainers as play will at times be on shale & grass courts.
Players should bring a bag containing enough water/squash /sports drink to last session (fizzy drinks are unsuitable), a small healthy snack eg banana, cereal bar, clothing appropriate to all weather conditions, a cap to protect head/eyes from sun /rain, a light waterproof is advisable, sunscreen should be applied before arrival, plasters.
