Warwickshire LTA County Player, Marianne Lancaster, from Sutton Coldfield,
has been selected as a Line Judge for this year's Wimbledon Championships
Marianne, who is 24, played for the County from the age of 10, played in all the Junior age group and Senior Ladies teams. She also went on to represent Bath University at tennis and graduated with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science, now works as a Sports Coach in Education.
Marianne is thrilled to have been selected and is greatly looking forward to the experience of being involved for the first time as an official, in the World Championships of tennis.
Mervyn Stone, County Vice Chairman said that 'Warwickshire LTA are very proud that one of their best junior players is now carving out a career for herself as an Umpire and Linesman and contributing back to the game she loves'.
