8U Girls Only Event
5 clubs entered the girls’ competition hosted by Virgin, Warks. They were: Leamington, Kenilworth, Rugby, Edgbaston Archery & Warwick Tennis Club.
This term’s competition was won by Edgbaston Archery who won all of their 4 matches!
8U Mixed Event
Birmingham Area
The Birmingham competition was hosted at The Edgbaston Priory Club. The division 1 winners were Edgbaston Archery. In division 2, the titles were won by Edgbaston Archery B, and Sutton Coldfield D.
Solihull Area
The Solihull competition was hosted by David Lloyd Solihull. In an extremely close division 1 competition, West Warwicks narrowly pipped both Blossomfield and DL Solihull to the title. The division 2 titles were won by Blossomfield B, and DL Solihull B.
Coventry and South Warwickshire Area
These boxes were hosted by Virgin, Warwickshire. There were two division 1 boxes, with Leamington and Kenilworth both progressing to the County finals. In division 2, Nuneaton A, Leamington B, Kenilworth B, Victoria Park B, and Leamington C all won their respective boxes.
The County Finals
In the semi-finals, Leamington defeated West Warwicks 8-2 and Kenilworth beat Edgbaston Archery 9-1. West Warwicks beat Archery on points count back to take third place! In a repeat of the September to December final, Kenilworth this time prevailed 8-2 to regain the title they took in January to March 2014.
Orange & Green Mini Tennis Classic
The round robin boxes have now finished and we are down to the final 4 teams in each age group / gender. The finals will take place at the Edgbaston Priory Club on Saturday 20th June 2015. The qualifying teams are:
9U Boys: Leamington A, Kenilworth A, Leamington B and Kenilworth B
9U Girls: Leamington, Kenilworth, Edgbaston Priory and Stratford A
10U Boys: Leamington A, Virgin A, Stratford A, Virgin B
10U Girls: Virgin, Sutton Coldfield, Rugby and Stratford
