8U Girls Only Event
5 clubs entered the girls’ competition hosted by Virgin, Warks. They were: Leamington, Kenilworth, Rugby, Sutton Coldfield and Leamington.
It was a round robin format, and the last fixture was a winner take all clash between Leamington and Kenilworth. On this occasion, Leamington prevailed 8-2 to take the title!
8U Mixed Event
Birmingham Area
The Birmingham competition was hosted at The Edgbaston Priory Club. The three division winners were: Lordswood, Four Oaks and Edgbaston Archery. In the Birmingham play-offs, Edgbaston Archery progressed to the County finals, with Four Oaks taking second place.
Solihull Area
The Solihull competition was hosted by David Lloyd Solihull. There were two divisions, with the top two from each box going through to the Solihull finals. In the semi-finals, Blossomfield A beat Blossomfield B, and West Warwicks defeated DL Solihull. In a very close final, Blossomfield came through 6-4 and progressed to the County finals.
Coventry and South Warwickshire Area
Hosted by Virgin, Warwickshire, there were 27 teams who took part in this area! There were two division 1 boxes, with Leamington and Kenilworth both progressing to the County finals. In division 2, Virgin A, Leamington B, Leamington C and Rugby C all won their respective boxes.
The County Finals
In the semi-finals, Leamington defeated Edgbaston Archery 8-2 and Kenilworth beat Blossomfield 8-2. Edgbaston Archery beat Blossomfield on points count back to take third place! In a high standard final, with not much between the teams, Leamington defeated Kenilworth 7-3 to regain the title (their 4th win out of the last 5 mini red mixed leagues!)

9U Boys
The final was between Leamington (Elliot Edwards & Monty Thompson) and Virgin (Leo Rincon-Tivey & Anthony Agranovsky). After the opening singles were split one a piece, a high quality doubles took place which Leamington took in three tight sets to take a 2-1 lead. The final two singles rubbers went into a third and final tie-break, but Leamington prevailed in both to win the competition 4-1.
9U Girls
This time the final was Leamington (Freya Richardson & Lara Tripp-Smith) vs Rugby (Samantha Delleman and Katie Rose). Again, the opening singles were split 1-1 and a crucial doubles saw Leamington come back from the disappointment of losing the first tie-break 7-1, to win in 3! This time, the remaining singles were split, so Leamington took the title 3-2!
10U Boys
Played on the 31st January 2015 at Leamington Tennis Club, the 10U Boys’ Final saw Leamington (Sam Parsons & Dylan Pillinger) take on Virgin, Warwickshire (Daniel Agranovsky and William Moore). Just as in the other finals, the first two rubbers were split 1-1. Leamington took the doubles 4-0, and with the final singles being split, it meant that Leamington were the winners 3-2!
