Warwickshire's Hannah Grady To Be Inducted into the Long Beach State Hall Of Fame

One of the truest examples of a fine student-athlete, women's tennis star Hannah Grady will be inducted into the Long Beach State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015.  She becomes the first women’s tennis inductee to the 49er Hall of Fame.

Hannah Grady remains an icon with the unbelievable successful women's tennis program at Long Beach State. A four-time Big West Player of the Year, Grady is the only player in any sport to receive the conference's top honor four times. She was a first-team All-Big West selection in both singles and doubles all four years at Long Beach State, and anchored the top spot in the 49er lineup for four years.

Grady helped lead Long Beach State to its first NCAA win as a freshman in 2006, when the 49ers defeated New Mexico 4-1, and is the only player in program history to earn multiple invitations to the individual NCAA Championships, earning selection in 2006 and 2008 in singles and in 2008 in doubles.

In recognition of her accomplishments, Court No. 1 at the Rhodes Tennis Center was renamed Hannah Grady Court at the conclusion of her collegiate career. When she closed her four-year career in 2009, she was the career wins leader at Long Beach State.

Grady's impact didn't stop on the tennis courts. A Big West Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-American, Grady was regularly recognized for her all-around efforts in the classroom and athletically, and went on to spend three years as an assistant coach at the Beach. During those three seasons, the Beach picked up their second NCAA victory, and captured three Big West championships.
