On Sunday 26th November, David Lloyd Coventry hosted the Warwickshire Mini Red Girls Sep-Dec 2017 County Competition. 8 clubs entered this one day event. Each team had to select 4 players for this doubles based competition. The teams who entered were:
Edgbaston Archery, Cov & NW, Kenilworth, Leamington, Rugby, Tudor Grange, Warwick TC, and University of Warwick.
In the semi-finals, Archery defeated Uni of Warwick 4-0 and Rugby edged out Leamington in a shootout after a 2-2 draw. An extremely strong Archery team came through again in the final, winning 4-0 against Rugby.
It was great to see 32, 8&U girls really enjoying their tennis. A big thank you to Mike Wells from DL Coventry who did an excellent job running the competition.
The Jan-Mar 2018 event will again take place at David Lloyd Coventry on Sunday 18th March 2018.
