Henley in Arden had the opportunity to take juniors to the Wimbledon Championships on Saturday 15th June, having accessedd passes through Warwickshire LTA.
Junior Representative Sarah Clarke said, 'We made sure we saw as much of it as we could, catching a glimpse of a couple of tennis heroes on the practice courts - Jamie Murray, Martina Hingis and Marian Cilic, spending time in the 'play tennis area' seeing who had the fastest serve and checking out the wheelchairs used in wheelchair tennis - before settling down to watch some super matches on Court One. The children all declared the invitation doubles match with Henri Laconte & Cedric Pioline - ' the best tennis ever' as they howled with laughter at the fun and games on court!!
It was a really amazing day, we all returned exhausted but very happy, with one of the children heading home shouting = 'thank you, it was the best day ever'!
