Recent Active People Survey figures illustrate that there is still a lot of work to do to grow tennis. Warwickshire LTA successfully bidded and secured funding through the Marjorie Dove Trust to work closely with our partners, such as local clubs, schools, and local authorities to deliver our mission of bringing tennis into more communities, schools and clubs in order to grow the game in Warwickshire to deliver long-term, sustainable growth in tennis.
With the project spanning two years, and beginning in April 2017, a series of projects will be excuted to get more women and girls playing tennis. Claire Williamson will lead the project, as appointed by Warwickshire LTA.
The projects will focus on the following areas:
1.Disability Wheelchair Tennis Coaching for women
2. County Training – 14 to 18 year old female players
3. Female Coach courses
4. Doubles Camps
5. Cardio Tennis
6. County Team Challenge
7. Schools Initiative
We will provide regular updates on progress made and how to get involved as the project developes.
