Red Mixed Finals @ DL Coventry on Sunday 25th March 2018
The red finals took place yesterday on Sunday 25th March 2018. The 5 division 1 area winners were: DL Solihull, Rugby, Kenilworth, Priory and Archery. In the Quarter-final, Rugby defeated DL Solihull 7-3.
In the semis, Archery came through 7-3 against Rugby and Priory defeated Kenilworth 7-3.
Kenilworth took third place with a 7-3 win over Rugby.
The final was extremely close and came down to the final doubles. In the end, Priory came through 6-4 to give us a new winner!
Red Girls Only One day event @ DL Coventry on Sunday 18th March 2018
On Sunday 18th March, David Lloyd Coventry hosted the Warwickshire Mini Red Girls Jan- Mar 2018 County Competition. 6 clubs entered this one day event. Each team had to select 4 players for this doubles based competition. The teams who entered were:
Edgbaston Archery, Cov & NW, Kenilworth, Leamington (2 teams), Rugby, Tudor Grange,
In the semi-finals, Archery defeated Kenilworth 4-0 and Leamington beat Rugby 3-1. An extremely strong Archery team came through again in the final, winning 3-1 against Leamington A.
It was great to see 28, 8&U girls really enjoying their tennis. A big thank you to Mike Wells from DL Coventry who did an excellent job running the competition.
