COUNTY Cup Training- Coordinator

Reporting to:
Warwickshire Management Committee
Role Summary:
Put together and deliver a comprehensive County Cup Training programme meeting the minimum criteria set by the LTA and signed for by the Warwickshire LTA.
Key Responsibilities:
Junior County Training
- Co-ordinate a programme of Junior County Cup Training sessions.
- Use Clubspark to administer the County Cup Training programme.
- Produce and agree Junior County Cup Training squad selection criteria.
- Meet and liaise with key Clubs and Head/Lead coaches.
- Create and deliver a supportive communication programme, including presentations, to parents, juniors, coaches and Clubs.
- Develop and agree a role specification for coaches.
- Recruit coaches to deliver Junior County Cup Training to participants.
- Ensure all coaches have the required accreditation.
- Biannually review the programme and implement changes and improvements as necessary.
County Cup (U9 to U18)
- Produce and agree Junior County Cup selection criteria.
- County Cup captains will be the relevant County Cup Training Coach.
- Liaise with the County Cup captains on an ongoing basis.
- Speak with parents regarding the team selections, behavioural issues and other matters when necessary.
Reporting
- Develop a Strategic 5 year Plan for County Cup Training which should be :
- Achievable and affordable.
- Measurable against criteria for success – ratings, rankings, results.
- Co-ordinated with other key stakeholders so everyone can buy into the vision.
- Reviewed against criteria and budget and adjusted as necessary.
- Be part of the WLTA Management team and submit reports at all meetings.
- Junior County Cup Training Squads, including the number of players involved.
- County Cup and other matches.
Financial
- Produce annual financial projections for the delivery of Junior County Cup Training for the agreement of the WLTA Management team.
- Monitor ongoing expenditure against the agreed budget set by the WLTA Management team.
General
- To be the named person to respond to enquiries relating to the County Cup Training programme.
- To be the named link between the Regional Coaching team and Warwickshire.
- Work closely with Players, Clubs, Club Coaches and the LTA Regional Office on development programmes to ensure that the ‘pathway’ to being part of the County Cup Training structure and beyond is understood.
- Be seen at certain events around the county
- Attend Coach Forums/Coach Cluster meetings.
- Liaise with the Senior County Captains to ensure that there is a transition from Junior to Adult County Cup involvement.
- Produce content for the Warwickshire website, Facebook, Twitter, etc. (In conjunction with WLTA Administrator and County Cup captains)
- Arrange for kit to be issued to those selected for County Cup Training. (In conjunction with WLTA Administrator)
Qualifications / Skills
- Full clean Driving License.
- Excellent organisation, communication and presentation skills.
- Good IT literacy. You will be responsible for managing all your own IT and administration
2018/19 Initial Objectives
- Develop and present to Warwickshire LTA a Strategic Plan, with associated costs, for the 2018/19 Junior County Cup Training Programme.
- Develop and agree the Junior County Cup Training squad selection criteria.
- Develop and agree a communication programme which will be aimed at parents, juniors, coaches and Clubs.
- Develop and agree a role specification for County Cup captains.
Job Details
- Part Time based on approximately 2 days per week and being available to respond to communications 24/7
- Self Employed Consultant
- Remuneration to be paid every 6 months (September and March)
- Expenses paid monthly by agreement
- Six month trial period with two months’ notice either way
