The British Tennis Youth Group is a new voluntary consultative body for British Tennis; made up of 13 tennis and sport enthusiasts aged between 16 and 25 years old.
The Group was recruited from across Great Britain from applicants with a variety of experiences and interests.
WHO – A group of 16-25 year old ambassadors for British Tennis
WHAT – We inspire more children, teenagers and young adults to enjoy tennis.
WHY – To share the benefits that tennis has provided for us.
HOW – Driving forward key local and national projects.
In 2014, the British Tennis Youth Group will be focussing on four key projects:
- Developing a youth legacy fund, which will support themed projects driven by young people with small revenue grants (more news coming soon).
- Delivering the first Student Tennis Conference.
- Buddying up with and supporting national team within the LTA to ensure that young people's views are taken into account when developing new programmes.
- Supporting a local project.
