NORTHERN CLUBS SERVE UP SPOOK-TACULAR CELEBRATIONS USING THEIR BENENDEN MONSTER SMASH PACK!

Friday, November 11, 2016

Spooky scenes were witnessed all across the North over the Halloween weekend, as venues transformed into haunted houses using their Benenden Monster Smash packs. Players and coaches up and down the region ensured that the final themed Festival pack for 2016 went out with a bang, pulling out all the stops with some incredible costumes, Halloween-themed food and decorations!

The weekend’s celebrations saw vampires, devils, zombies, skeletons and lots of pumpkins get on court, as players of all ages and levels battled it out in fun themed competitions to mark the spooky holiday. The Benenden Monster Smash packs, meanwhile, ensured that venues looked the part, providing Halloween-themed decorations and goodies such as cobweb bunting, ghoulish googly eyes, spooky facemasks and balloons. Particularly popular were the ‘Trick or Treat’ cards that gave lucky players a helping hand in their matches, whilst those more unlucky were dealt a devilish disadvantage!

Clubs of all shapes and sizes got involved with the Halloween fun: from the two day Halloween extravaganza hosted by the Ribble Valley Tennis Centre, to the fun-filled mini-orange themed competition held at the picturesque Cullercoats Tennis Club. Liverpool John Moores University Tennis Club and The North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club (NEVITC) also ran fantastic Halloween Festivals – proof that it isn’t just our traditional tennis clubs that can get involved in the action!

Thank you to everyone that sent in photographs and reports from their Benenden Halloween events - we have loved seeing you all on court getting into the Halloween spirit! Why not take a look at the photo gallery above to see if you can spot your venue?!

Want to do it all over again? The themes for 2017’s FREE Benenden Tennis Festivals Pack themes have now been announced! Be sure to find out if your venue has claimed thiers.
