On a fine sunny day in April Broughton Tennis Club, which is located north of Preston in Lancashire, hosted a fun open day for children in the area.
It was a means of promoting tennis to children of all ages in particular those aged 10 and under.
Great fun was had by all who joined in!
There were group mini-coaching sessions, individual coaching and fun with a ball machine.
Refreshments were welcomed by the participants after almost 3 hours on court in some cases!
A tennis-themed lucky dip proved to be a hit too.
It was very encouraging to see so many children partaking in the various activities on offer. In addition some adults accompanying them got the tennis-bug and have subsequently decided to take up tennis too.
The club intends to host similar events in the future.
