Fun and games for all at the Nottingham Festival of Tennis

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Over 2000 children from 60 Nottinghamshire schools have taken part in tennis activities this week at the Nottingham Tennis Centre as part of the Nottingham Festival of Tennis.

Each child went home with a Zsig racket and ball set  - so we are hoping they will be practising hard and come back one year to take part in AEGON Trophy and Challenge events that have been running on the grass courts here in Nottingham over the last two weeks.

Activity has been delivered by a team of qualified coaches from Nottingham Tennis Centre and sports leaders from Central College. The children have had a fantastic time and we hope that they, and their teachers, will be inspired to continue playing. There are many opportunities to play the game at school, in the park or at local clubs. For further details visit www.nottinghamshiretennis.net/resources and www.allplaytennis.com
