The British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships has been voted tournament of the year for 2011 on the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
The tournament is an ITF Super Series event which takes place at the Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Tournament director Becky Tilley was quick to praise the volunteers that help make the tournament such a success.
She said: "We are delighted to win the award. It is a real team effort and would not be possible if it wasn't for the dedication of our small, but highly efficient, team of volunteers and staff."
