Men’s 22nd January
A consistent team performance gave Lady Bay their first win of the season in the men’s first division, against Mapperley Park, who are still looking for their first win this season. The top couple were Adam Richardson and Nick Broadhurst from Mapperley Park with 24 games.
Woodthorpe ‘A’ continued their good form in division 2, with a comfortable home win against Grantham, to maintain their winning run at the top of division 2. Gary Bearman and Simon Williams were the top couple with 26 games. Mansfield won a close match at Farnsfield to move into third place.
Burton Joyce opened their account in division 4B, with a close fought home win against East Bridgford, thanks to a consistent performance from all three couples. However the top couple were East Bridgford’s Leigh Day and Dave Watkins with 22 games.
Mansfield ‘A’ maintained their unbeaten run at the top of division 5A, following a close fought away win against Caunton ‘A’, which was mainly due to the performance of Vlad Kourotchkine and Ray Collins with an impressive 31 games. Mansfield then followed this up with a comprehensive home win against Woodthorpe ‘B’.
Retford made it four out of four wins, in division 5B, with a crushing home win against Sutton in Ashfield ‘A’ where all couples performed well, with Tom Bradley and Sam Hughes coming out top with 33 games.
Grantham ‘C’ moved to the top of division 6B, following a comfortable home win against Mansfield ‘C’, where Samuel Chan and Michael Gregg were the top couple with 27 games, followed closely by Mike Roy and Dominic Newcombe with 26 games.
