We played our first match of the season against Northumberland at home (at West Bridgford Tennis Club).
Elaine Masters played number 1 singles against E Ogden and had a very close match, managing to secure a win of 7-5, 6-4.
Lisa Knowles played the number 2 singles against Alison Duncan, had a very close match losing the first set 6-4, and then went on to win the 2nd set 6-1, and then managed to take the third set 10 point tie break 10-4.
Kate Crowther played with Gina Ofield (a new member to the squad) in the first round doubles, against Alison Charlewood and A. Ward Ropper and had a great win of 6-0, 6-2.
Results of the next round:
Elaine and Lisa beat A Charlewood and A. Ward Ropper 6-1,6-1
Kate and Gina beat Ogden and Duncan 6-3, 6-3.
