Ladies Summer League 

Lady Bay ladies have made a convincing return to the top division with a crushing away win against neighbours West Bridgford ‘A’. A superb team performance was topped by Emily Crowe and Lauren Trigg, with 6 sets for the loss of only 2 games. Magdala started the summer season well with a good home win against Mansfield, but the top pair of Ann Brown and Nicola Coleman with 6 sets came from Mansfield. Magdala then slipped up in their next home match, losing to the reigning champions West Bridgford, where Jane Davies and Lisa Knowles were the top couple with 5.5 sets. 

David Lloyd Nottingham have made a strong start in division 2, winning comfortably against Burton Joyce, where Gemma Praditngam and Moura Armstrong were the top couple with 6 sets. David Lloyd were even more convincing in their next match at Southwell, where Gemma partnered Rebecca Wood to win 6 sets for the loss of only 1 game. Burton Joyce and David Lloyd West Bridgford battled out a draw, where Jasmeet Kaler and Helen Phillips were the top couple with 6 sets. 

Woodthorpe ‘A’ have made a good start in division 3, beating Farnsfield and Nottingham Castle. Wollaton have made a mixed start, beating East Bridgford, losing to Lady Bay ‘A’ and drawing with Farnsfield. 

In division 4A, Retford are the early leaders, winning their first three matches, with Sutton in Ashfield in second place, also unbeaten. 

David Lloyd West Bridgford ‘A’ won a close home match against Musters ‘B’ in division 4B, where Ann Rutter and Caroline Arnold were the top couple with 6 sets. East Bridgford ‘A’ also had a close home win against Mansfield ‘A’, although the match was dominated by the visitors veteran first pair of Sally Beeley and Paula Coleman with 6 sets.
