A highly competitive and very close match. Ann won her singles and paired up with Wendy to win doubles. Jo and Sheila played well, narrowly losing 1 of their doubles.
Match 2 v Hereford and Worcester. Lost 4-1

A hard fought match v high standard opposition. Wendy won her singles but Ann lost both singles and doubles with Wendy in very close third set tie breaks. Jo and Sue also came close in one of their doubles.
Match 3 v Leicester. Lost 4-1
Team- Wendy Scalinger, Rosie Watkins, Elaine Masters, Helen Drummond
A great effort v very strong opposition. Elaine and Helen performed brilliantly to win one of their doubles.
Match 4 v Suffolk. Won 4-1
Team- Wendy Scalinger, Elaine Masters, Jo Higham, Sheila Eustace.
Everyone played their part to make this a great victory.
Match 5 v Lincs Lost 3-2
Team - Ann Brown, Wendy Scalinger, Elaine Masters, Rosie Watkins
Once again this match hung in the balance. Ann won her singles then joined forces with Wendy to win their doubles. Elaine and Rosie played well and came very close to winning one of their doubles.
Match 6 v Yorks. Lost 4-1
Team - Ann Brown, Wendy Scalinger, Elaine Masters, Jo Higham
Again we all battled hard in a tough but enjoyable match. Ann and Wendy teamed up to win their doubles.
I'd like to thank everyone who's played in the team this season. We've had some very hard matches and everyone has shown great fighting spirit.
