Great Britain's quad, junior and women's wheelchair tennis teams are all through to their respective semi-finals after Wednesday's third day of competition at the 2011 ITF World Team Cup in Pretoria, South Africa.
The men's team are in action on Thursday alongside the quad and junior teams as they contest the first of their play-off ties to decide fifth to eighth places.
Great Britain play last year's runners-up Israel in Thursday's quad semi-finals after Jamie Burdekin and Antony Cotterill sealed comfortable wins in their two singles rubbers against South Africa on Wednesday in the third and final set of round-robin group ties.
Cotterill opened the tie with a 6-1, 6-1 win over David Mathebula before Burdekin put up a spiritied performance to beat South Africa's Lucas Sithole (RSA) 7-6(4), 2-6, 6-4 and leave second seeds Great Britain unbeaten at the top of their four-nation group.
In the junior event Great Britain face defending champions the Netherlands in Thursday's semi-finals after a dominant display in their final group match against Zimbabwe.
Thirteen-year-old Alfie Hewett opened the contest with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Sheppered Banda and Josh Steels put the tie beyond the reach of the Zimbabwe team as he eased past Brian Mafuvise 6-1, 6-0. Hewett and Steels then completed a 3-0 win when beating Banda and Brian Mafuvise 6-1, 6-0 in the doubles rubber.
Louise Hunt and Jordanne Whiley took Great Britain into the semi-finals of the women's event for the third successive year after a 2-0 win over the USA.
Hunt led Dana Mathewson 5-4 in the first set of the opening singles rubber when Mathewson was forced to retire. Whiley subsequently had a tough contest against Emmy Kaiser, but pulled through 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 to book Great Britain's place in Friday's women's semi-finals against second seeds Germany.
Great Britain's men faced sixth seeds Korea in their World Group 1 quarter-final, with David Phillipson forcing a deciding doubles rubber after Marc McCarroll had endured an early 0-6, 5-7 loss to Ha-Gel Lee.
Phillipson battled his way to a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Sang-Ho Oh in the second singles rubber, but Lee and Oh proved too strong for McCarroll and Phillipson in the deciding doubles, winning 6-2, 7-5.
Great Britain now face former World Team Cup finalists Poland in the first of their remaining play-off contests on Thursday.
